Pickup & Delivery Service Terms and Conditions

Welcome to So Clean Laundromat's Pickup & Delivery Service! We're excited to make laundry day easier for you. Please read these terms carefully before using our service.


1. Service Area & Eligibility

Service Radius

Our pickup and delivery service is available to customers located within 10 miles of our laundromat. During checkout, you will select your neighborhood from our approved service area list. If your neighborhood is not listed, you are outside our current service area.

Outside Service Area

If you live outside our 10-mile service radius, you are welcome to drop off your laundry directly at our laundromat and enjoy the same $2 per pound wash and fold pricing without the $10 deposit requirement.

Requesting New Service Areas

Don't see your neighborhood listed? Let us know! We track requests for new service areas and may expand our coverage based on demand. However, we cannot guarantee service expansion to any specific area.


2. Pricing & Fees

Deposit: $10

A non-refundable $10 deposit is required when scheduling your pickup. This deposit will be applied toward your final invoice. If you cancel after pickup or we are unable to complete service due to customer error (laundry not ready, incorrect address, etc.), the deposit is forfeited.

Wash & Fold Pricing: $40 Minimum or $2 per pound (whichever is greater)

Your laundry will be weighed upon pickup at our facility. Your final invoice will be calculated as follows:

- If your laundry weighs 20 pounds or less: You pay the $40 minimum

- If your laundry weighs more than 20 pounds: You pay $2 per pound based on actual weight


Examples:

- 15 lbs = $40 (minimum applies)

- 20 lbs = $40 (minimum applies)

- 25 lbs = $50 ($2/lb applies)

- 30 lbs = $60 ($2/lb applies)

Final Invoice

After we pick up and weigh your laundry, you will receive a final invoice for the wash and fold charges, minus your $10 deposit. You may choose to:

- Have us charge the card you have on file, or

- Pay the invoice separately through the payment link we provide

Order Size

We require a $40 minimum order. Exceptionally large orders may require additional processing time beyond our standard delivery schedule. We will notify you if your order requires extended processing time.


3. Payment Terms

Service Fee Payment

The $10 deposit must be paid in full at the time you schedule your pickup. We accept all major credit and debit cards through our secure payment processor, Square.

Card on File

When you pay the deposit, your payment information will be securely stored on file. You may authorize us to charge this same card for your final wash and fold invoice by checking the appropriate box on the invoice we send you.

Invoice Payment Deadline

You will receive your final invoice within 24 hours after your scheduled pickup. Your laundry will NOT be washed until your final invoice is paid.

Payment must be received by Wednesday at 11:59 PM (midnight) to ensure your laundry is washed and delivered on Friday.
Payment must be received by Sunday at 11:59 PM (midnight) to ensure your laundry is washed and delivered on Tuesday.

Late Payment

If your invoice is not paid by Wednesday at 11:59 PM, your laundry will be held and delivered on the next available delivery day after payment is received. Your clothes will be stored safely, but we cannot guarantee your preferred delivery date if payment is delayed.

Failed Payments

If payment fails or is declined, we will contact you immediately. Your laundry will not be processed until payment issues are resolved. After 7 days of non-payment, we reserve the right to assess a $5 per day storage fee.


4. Scheduling & Delivery

Pickup Days

Pickups are scheduled on Tuesdays and Fridays only. You must schedule your pickup at least 24 hours in advance through our website.

Delivery Days

Deliveries are made on Tuesdays and Fridays only, based on the following schedule:

- Tuesday pickups → Friday delivery (if invoice paid by Wednesday 11:59 PM)

- Friday pickups → Tuesday delivery (if invoice paid by Monday 11:59 PM)

Delivery Windows

Pickups and deliveries occur throughout the day during business hours. We do NOT provide specific time windows or advance notification. Your laundry must be ready by 8:00 AM on pickup day, and you should expect delivery anytime during business hours on your scheduled delivery day.

Missed Deliveries

If no one is available to receive your delivery, we will leave your clean laundry in a secure location you specify during checkout (such as a covered porch). By using this service, you authorize us to leave deliveries at your specified location and acknowledge that we are not responsible for items once delivered.

Rescheduling

If you need to reschedule a pickup, please contact us at least 12 hours before your scheduled pickup time. The $10 deposit is non-refundable but can be applied to a rescheduled pickup within 30 days.


5. Customer Responsibilities

Preparing Your Laundry & Required Laundry Bags

All pickup orders must be placed in So Clean Laundromat branded laundry bags. We will provide one complimentary laundry bag when you schedule your first pickup. Your clean laundry will be returned to you in this same bag, which you must use for all future pickups.

We will ONLY pick up laundry that is placed in our official So Clean Laundromat bags. Please do not place laundry in personal bags or baskets.

Additional bags are available for purchase at $5 per bag (one-time fee). To request additional bags, please contact us prior to your pickup.

Please ensure all items are ready for pickup:

- Remove all personal items from pockets (we are not responsible for items left in pockets)

- Separate items that require special care and provide clear instructions

- Place all laundry items inside your So Clean Laundromat branded bag(s)

- Do not include non-washable items, hazardous materials, or excessively soiled items

Special Instructions

If you have specific washing preferences (water temperature, detergent type, fabric softener, etc.), please include detailed written instructions with your laundry. We will follow reasonable instructions but cannot guarantee accommodation of all requests.

Access to Pickup/Delivery Location

You are responsible for ensuring we have safe and legal access to your pickup and delivery location. This includes unlocked gates, clear pathways, and any necessary access codes or instructions.

Contact Information

You must provide a working phone number where you can receive text message notifications about your order status, including pickup confirmations, invoice notifications, and delivery updates.


6. Our Service Guarantee

Quality Commitment

We treat your laundry with the same care we'd want for our own. All items are washed, dried, and folded according to industry best practices.

Professional Cleaning

Your laundry will be:

- Washed in commercial-grade machines with quality detergent

- Dried at appropriate temperatures

- Neatly folded and packaged for delivery

- Returned in your original bags or baskets (if provided)

Washing Standards

Unless otherwise instructed, we wash items in warm water with our standard detergent and use low heat drying. We do not use bleach or fabric softener unless specifically requested.


7. Liability & Limitations

Maximum Liability

Our liability for any lost, damaged, or destroyed items is limited to 10 times the cleaning charge for the affected item(s), up to a maximum of $50 per order. We strongly recommend not including high-value items in your wash and fold service.

Excluded Items

We are not responsible for damage to:

- Items requiring dry cleaning or special care

- Delicate fabrics including silk, wool, cashmere, or lace unless specifically approved by us

- Items with pre-existing damage, stains, or wear

- Non-clothing items (bedding, curtains, etc.) unless approved in advance

- Designer or luxury items valued over $100

Color Bleeding & Shrinkage

While we take reasonable care to separate colors, we are not liable for color bleeding or shrinkage that occurs during normal washing. Please separate items you are concerned about and include clear instructions.

Lost Items

If an item goes missing, please notify us within 48 hours of delivery. We will conduct a thorough search of our facility. Our liability is limited as described above.

Claims Process

All claims for lost or damaged items must be submitted in writing within 7 days of delivery. Claims submitted after this period will not be accepted.

Right to Refuse Service

We reserve the right to refuse service to customers who submit multiple claims for lost or damaged items. If we determine that a pattern of claims suggests abuse of our liability policy, we may discontinue service to that customer without prior notice. This determination is made at our sole discretion to protect the integrity of our service for all customers.


8. Cancellations & Refunds

Deposit

The $10 deposit is non-refundable once your pickup has been completed. If you cancel before pickup (at least 12 hours in advance), the deposit can be applied to a future order within 30 days.

The deposit will be credited toward your final invoice when service is completed successfully.

Wash & Fold Charges

If you decide not to proceed with washing after we've picked up and weighed your laundry, you may request return of your unwashed items. A $10 return delivery fee will apply (in addition to the original $10 deposit already paid).

Our Right to Cancel

We reserve the right to cancel service if:

- Your address is outside our service area

- We cannot safely access your location

- Your laundry contains prohibited or hazardous items

- Payment issues cannot be resolved

- Your order does not meet the $40 minimum

If we cancel your order before pickup, your service fee will be fully refunded.


9. Abandoned Property

Unclaimed Items

If you fail to pay your final invoice within 30 days, or if delivered items are refused, your laundry will be considered abandoned. We will make reasonable attempts to contact you, but after 30 days, we reserve the right to donate, dispose of, or sell abandoned items to recover costs.

Storage Fees

Unpaid orders will incur a $5 per day storage fee beginning 7 days after the invoice is issued.


10. Communication & Consent

Text Message Notifications

By using this service, you consent to receive text messages regarding your order, including:

- Order confirmation when deposit is paid

- Invoice notification (within 24 hours of pickup)

- Payment confirmation

- Critical service updates only

We do NOT send pickup reminders or delivery notifications. You are responsible for having laundry ready by 8:00 AM on your scheduled pickup day.

Message and data rates may apply. Message frequency varies based on your order activity.

Marketing Communications

By checking the consent box at checkout, you agree to receive marketing and promotional messages, including special offers, from So Clean Laundromat. We may also send you promotional offers on behalf of our partners and affiliates. Your personal information is never shared with these partners; we send offers on your behalf. You may opt out at any time by replying STOP to any message.

Email Communications

We will send order confirmations, invoices, and receipts to the email address you provide. Please ensure your email address is current and accurate.

Carrier Liability

Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. So Clean Laundromat and mobile carriers are not responsible for any delays in the receipt of SMS messages as delivery is subject to effective transmission from your network operator and processing by your mobile device.


11. Privacy & Data Security

Payment Security

All payment information is processed through Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor. We do not store your complete credit card information on our servers.

Personal Information

We collect and store your name, address, phone number, and email address to provide this service. We do not sell or share your personal information with third parties except as necessary to process payments and fulfill orders.

Card on File

Payment information stored for card-on-file transactions is encrypted and securely maintained through our payment processor. You may request removal of your stored payment information at any time.


12. General Terms

Service Changes

We reserve the right to modify our service area, pricing, schedule, or these terms at any time. Changes will be posted on our website and will apply to orders placed after the effective date of the change.

Force Majeure

We are not liable for delays or failure to perform due to circumstances beyond our control, including but not limited to: severe weather, natural disasters, vehicle breakdowns, illness, or other emergencies.

Severability

If any provision of these terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full effect.

Entire Agreement

These terms, along with our general laundromat policies, constitute the entire agreement between you and So Clean Laundromat regarding pickup and delivery service.

Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri. Any disputes will be resolved in the appropriate courts of St. Louis County, Missouri.

Agreement to Terms

By placing an order for pickup and delivery service, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions.

You also confirm that:

- You are at least 18 years of age

- The address provided is within our service area

- You authorize us to charge the payment method provided

- You consent to receive text and email communications

- You accept the liability limitations outlined above
